Point of care ultrasound workshop for volume status assessment will be featured at #KIDNEYcon

Point of care ultrasound has emerged as a powerful to assess volume status. This hands on workshop at KIDNEYcon has been well received and a popular option for attendees. This course will demonstrate techniques to assess volume. Understand the fundamentals of bedside ultrasound, learn ultrasonographic technique using SonoSim® Ultrasound Training, identify the inferior vena cava from the subcostal view, and perform IVC measurement on standardized patients.

The course will be directed by Drs. John "Terrill" Huggins of MUSC, Nithin Karakala of UAMS, Kenar Jhaveri of Northwell Health, Hofstra, New York, and Nathaniel Reisinger from Penn.
