We are pleased to announce that Samira Farouk, MD, MS will serve as Director of Mentoring and Trainee Engagement at KIDNEYcon. Samira is a great addition to the KIDNEYcon team and will help to ensure trainees and all conference attendees come away with more than just a typical conference. The goal is to maximize this experience to allow for lifelong mentorship and peer support. Samira was critical to the success of the KIDNEYcon 2019 where she introduced the concept of mentoring pods, revamped JEOPARDY! by integrating free open access medical education (FOAMed), and organized many of the activities over the weekend. In KIDNEYcon 2020 she will play a larger role in the conference and will help plan and coordinate all workshops, clinical symposia as well as the mentorship aspects of the conference.
Please welcome Samira to the team.
